By promoting values such as active citizenship, volunteering, environmental awareness, innovation, inclusion, diversity, European values, and cultural exchange, we create a positive impact within our communities. To maximise the impact of the initiatives we engage in, we always collaborate with like-minded organisations that share the values of Make it Happen. Furthermore, we offer equal opportunities for participation in our projects, ensuring that young people with fewer opportunities are not excluded from any of our actions.
Our team consists of five youth workers with experience in international mobility projects as well as local initiatives. These team members come from diverse educational backgrounds, bringing complementary skills to our organisation, which greatly contributes to our success. Over the past years, we have had over 100 registered members and volunteers who support us and actively participate in our events, both locally and internationally.
Mission and Objectives
Make it Happen is a Non-Governmental Organisation registered in Cyprus. It was founded in 2021 by young people passionate about non-formal education and European youth initiatives.
The main objectives of our organisation are:
Connecting young people from different backgrounds and cultures, empowering them through non-formal education, and providing them with exchange opportunities that support their personal and professional growth.
Encouraging youth involvement in decision-making processes and promoting the value of active citizenship among young people.
Raising environmental awareness and advocating animal rights while equipping individuals with the tools and knowledge to become responsible citizens and contribute to a sustainable future.
Promoting volunteerism and highlighting its potential to bring positive change to both individuals’ lives and local communities.
Creating an inclusive and supportive environment that emphasizes diversity, solidarity, and equity, allowing young people to explore their passions and contribute positively to society.
Fostering peace, dialogue, and mutual understanding between the two largest communities of Cyprus.
Main Projects / Activities
At Make it Happen, we believe in the power of lifelong learning and treat non-formal education as essential as formal education. Our team brings extensive experience in youth work, including successful involvement in Erasmus+ and ESC projects.
We have experience in running local social media campaigns and creating interactive, youth-friendly content. We also have experience organising and co-creating youth-led events and raising awareness of our activities through both online and offline methods. These skills make us well-equipped to support the creation of engaging, educational content and social media challenges to promote EU values.
Our team includes former ESC volunteers, youth workers, and mentors, who are skilled in both managing projects and connecting with young people in a way that promotes participation, creativity and leadership. Even if we already have experience in managing youth projects, we’re always looking to grow, and we embrace every opportunity to learn new things.
