MAVV has been operating since 2017 in the event organization sector.
The organization is based in the splendid setting of the Royal Palace of Portici, thanks to an agreement with the Department of Agriculture of the University of Naples Federico II, where it carries out activities such as organizing events, exhibitions, and artistic and cultural performances.
An acronym for Museo dell’Arte, del Vino e della Vite (www.museoartevino.it), MAVV is a hub aimed at promoting the world of food and wine as a cultural, artistic, and scientific heritage. It also supports experiential tourism as a resource for sustainable economic development by offering services, training, and consultancy to SMEs, and organizing shows, festivals, awards, and celebrations with internationally recognized events.

Main Projects / Activities
Thanks to various communication tools, MAVV tells the story of food and wine culture through experiences that blend history, taste, and territory.
One of the most significant examples is the Wine Art Fest, now in its 9th edition, which promotes food and wine excellence on an international level through a unique and innovative format, celebrated for its conviviality and adaptability to different territorial contexts.
Furthermore, MAVV has signed over 20 memoranda of understanding with public institutions and organizations in Campania and works regularly with the UNESCO Chair on Health and Sustainability, held by Professor Anna Maria Colao. Together, they develop events and initiatives—especially targeting the world of education—on the themes of healthy, responsible, and conscious drinking. (The website www.bereconsapevole.it is owned by MAVV and promotes awareness, healthy lifestyles, and a social campaign dedicated to these important topics.). The Mediterranean Wine Art Fest is a festival celebrating excellence and cultural-economic exchange for a Mediterranean of Peace. Covering sectors such as agri-food, agritech, wine and food, experiential tourism, lifestyles, innovation, and circular economy, the event embraces the concept of the symposium as a convivial practice. This exclusive event showcases the excellence of wine and gastronomy, highlighting their historical, cultural, and scenic ties to the territory, while also conveying a message of peace by fostering economic exchanges in the agri-food and agritech sectors.
Produced and organized by MAVV – Museum of Art, Wine, and Vine, hosted by the Department of Agricultural Sciences at the Royal Palace of Portici, in collaboration with the Real Conservatorio della Solitaria Foundation, the initiative has received High Patronage from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) and endorsements from the Campania Region, the Metropolitan City of Naples, the City of Naples, ICE, ENIT, the Future Food Institute, and recognitions from MANN and the universities: Federico II, L’Orientale, Parthenope, Suor Orsola Benincasa, Universitas Mercatorum, and Luigi Vanvitelli.
The Mediterranean Wine Art Fest also seeks to reflect the widespread desire for peace and the rediscovery of togetherness, presenting in Naples a rich program of meetings between excellence, wine, art, performance, and music. It features tastings of local specialties, exhibitions and art performances, video projections, glamorous events, award ceremonies, and workshops—dedicated to health and medicine, innovation, and sustainability—as well as theatrical visits and, above all, live concerts.
With the involvement of schools and the academic world, a special focus is dedicated to the themes of “conscious drinking”—through the MAVV project and the UNESCO Chair in Health Education and Sustainable Development, aimed at younger generations—alongside the Mediterranean Diet, proper nutrition, healthy lifestyles, and health awareness.
A key moment of the festival, with strong media impact, will be a great and widespread toast for peace, celebrated throughout the Mediterranean and the world.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
Through active participation in the Foundation’s programs, MAVV seeks to strengthen relationships across the Mediterranean region and generate shared positive impacts for the cultural, economic, and social growth of local communities.
Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
The MAVV – Wine Art Museum expresses its interest in joining the Anna Lindh Foundation, fully embracing its founding values, Euro-Mediterranean vision, and commitment to building bridges between communities through intercultural dialogue.
As a cultural enterprise actively engaged for years in enhancing the value of food and wine heritage as a driver of sustainable development, we strongly believe in the Foundation's mission and the power of collaborative networks. In particular, MAVV aims to contribute as a facilitator of the concept of "coopetition" among local stakeholders – fostering virtuous synergies between businesses, institutions, cultural organizations, and third sector actors.
