How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
MYF France's values and objectives align closely with the mission of the Anna Lindh Foundation, particularly in fostering intercultural dialogue, supporting youth empowerment, and promoting social inclusion. Through participation in the ALF network, MYF France will have the opportunity to amplify its impact by engaging in meaningful partnerships and contributing to the development of a more cohesive and sustainable Mediterranean community.
MYF France draws on MYF Egypt's extensive expertise in youth empowerment, with a strong focus on capacity-building programs designed to help young people actively engage in social life and decision-making processes. We work to create tools and training opportunities that foster active citizenship, leadership, and social responsibility, areas that are also central to the Anna Lindh Foundation’s work. Our team has experience in designing and implementing effective youth development programs, workshops, and dialogue sessions that address the key challenges facing the Euro-Mediterranean region.
Through our involvement in the network, MYF France will share its experiences and best practices in:
Promoting youth autonomy, by working on the key drivers that enable young people to carve their own path, thrive, and contribute positively to society.
Supporting youth through non-formal education, with a focus on training, social and professional inclusion, civic engagement, and international mobility, priorities that also align with the French national agenda.
Encouraging youth participation in cultural and social life, especially through international exchanges and volunteerism that strengthen their leadership skills and foster a sense of belonging in a diverse Mediterranean context.
Additionally, MYF France is dedicated to preserving and promoting Mediterranean heritage by actively engaging youth in cultural projects that celebrate the region's rich and diverse history. We organize workshops, events, and heritage preservation initiatives that connect young people with their cultural roots while encouraging them to explore the shared heritage of the wider Euro-Mediterranean region.
By collaborating with the Anna Lindh Foundation, MYF France will strengthen its capacity to contribute to the Foundation's mission and further promote intercultural dialogue and youth-led development in our country and beyond.
Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
Joining the ALF Network aligns perfectly with our mission to empower Mediterranean youth by expanding our outreach, forging affiliations with like-minded organizations, and accessing a diverse range of resources and expertise. We are particularly inspired by the ALF projects network, which focuses on empowering youth from the Mediterranean region to devise solutions to critical social challenges such as youth and women’s empowerment, gender inequality, climate change, promoting arts and culture, and fostering mobility between Euro-Mediterranean organizations to build capacity across various fields.
The ALF Network offers an invaluable platform for facilitating intercultural dialogue, a crucial component in addressing the regional challenges we face, so by engaging with the network, we aim to enhance our advocacy efforts, improve our relief and development initiatives, and work collaboratively towards creating a more just and inclusive society.
We are particularly interested in participating in joint projects with other ALF members that address pressing issues like climate action, migration, and social inclusion, while also sharing our expertise in non-formal education and capacity-building for youth leaders. The exchange of knowledge, best practices, and innovative approaches will help strengthen our programs and enable us to scale our impact across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
Additionally, joining the ALF Network will allow us to expand our influence and advocacy on a broader scale, particularly on topics such as youth mobility, intercultural dialogue, and gender equality. It will also create opportunities for our youth participants to engage with peers from other Mediterranean countries, providing them with the skills, networks, and perspectives needed to become leaders of change in their communities.
By collaborating with ALF members, MYF France hopes to contribute to the network’s vision of a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Mediterranean, while enhancing our capacity to engage marginalized youth, including those from immigrant and refugee backgrounds, and provide them with practical tools to shape their futures and contribute to regional development.
