Meninos de Oiro was born in 2003.
It is a social nonprofit organization that was created in Azeitao, Setubal, Portugal.
Meninos de Oiro was also registered as an IPSS (Private Institution of Social Solidarity) and acquired the status of Public Utility.
Mission and Objectives
This association was founded with the mission of protecting children's rights, promoting the improvement of parental responsibilities.
Main Projects / Activities
Meninos de Oiro has a multidisciplinary technical team, and its main social service is the Family Support and Parental Counseling Center - CAFAP The Lighthouse.
Meninos de Oiro is the only local civil society organization that develops this specialized service in order to ensure the rights of children in danger or at risk.
During almost 20 years, Meninos de Oiro has supported hundreds of families, in partnership with the local institutions, initially only in Azeitao, in the last years also in Sesimbra, Almada and Seixal.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
Our Association has a Facebook page which has almost 20,000 followers and, so, we can widely publicize the network in Portugal
