Main Projects / Activities

Our research agenda reflects the multidimensional nature of migration. We investigate the drivers and networks of migration, examine how migrants navigate integration across different settings, and analyze governance structures from local policies to transnational frameworks. Our work also foregrounds the lived experiences of migrants, emphasizing diverse perspectives shaped by gender, generation, and community. From forced migration and human trafficking to climate-induced displacement and digital transformations in migration governance, we strive to address the most pressing and emerging questions of our time.

At MiReKoc, interdisciplinarity is at the heart of what we do. Drawing from economics, sociology, anthropology, political science, urban studies, and beyond, we foster innovative research that connects academic inquiry with real-world impact. Through collaborations with scholars, policymakers, and civil society, we aim to generate knowledge that not only informs but transforms.
