Mission and Objectives

The Minister and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage ensures the freedom of artistic life and the continued evolution of national culture, maintains and protects the nation’s cultural heritage and historical monuments, coordinates these duties and provides professional leadership for the sector and operates supervisory and professional organisations. The Minister’s and the ministry’s duties include, among other things, the registration, preservation and protection of cultural goods and making these treasures available to the public, and to provide guidance for activities related to public education and collections and for the works of creative and performing artists.
