Misr ElKheir foundation (MEK) is a non-profit organization operating in all 27 governorates of Egypt, North Africa since 2007 (with the humanitarian aid program serving all of MENA region). With a budget of over 1.4 Billion EGP - app. 45 Million USD in 2022-2023 fiscal year, MEK implements projects, programs and campaign in the sectors of: Education, Scientific Research, Health, Economic Empowerment, Civic engagement (;CSO empowerment, women and youth empowerment), and Social empowerment (;Culture and arts, environmental development and sustainability, minorities, migrants, and PWDs empowerment) with International Donors such as the European Commission, UN Women, UNDP, UUNICEF, GIZ, P&G, Vodafone, Microsoft, Google, Allianz, KFW Development Bank and more.

Mission and Objectives

Misr ElKheir Foundation is a non-profit development organization that was established in 2007 with the aim of continuing for more than 500 years. Our Vision is to become a leading organization and a global example promoting symbiotic societies. Our Mission is Comprehensive Human Development through the implementation of projects in order to diminish the levels of illness, poverty, hunger, illiteracy, and unemployment. Our Goals are:
-Maximizing actions with long-lasting effects to enhance beneficiaries' quality of life.
-Concentrating on multi- field developmental interventions in the border governorates & the neediest communities.
-Increasing the growth of the civil work sector and enhancing our partner's skills.
-Attaining financial stability and broadening the institution's revenue streams.

Main Projects / Activities

MEK currently operates almost 300 projects with a total budget of 2.4 Billion EGP with more than 20 current donors. The most prominent Projects are illustrated in the attached statement of capabilities.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

MEK can contribute to the Network by:
- Implementing interventions for partners in mentioned fields,
- Providing technical and administrative, tactical and strategic directing, mentoring, and supervision for partners and beneficiaries in MEK's areas of expertise
- Partner and cooperate with CBOs within the network to implement incoming projects from MEK donors
