I have been working in the area of human rights, with a specific emphasis on youth, in London for several years. I worked for the Refugee Council UK, Bernardos, and currently with Young Roots. My current role involves working with young refugees 18+ in the UK with the aim of integrating them into the community and providing assistance and activities for the young adults. My role also involves networking with other organisation as broadly as possible. My home address is in Cork so for that reason I am applying to the Irish network to join them. (Unfortunately the UK is no longer a member of the ALF network.)
Mission and Objectives
Youth participation.
Main Projects / Activities
Youth welfare is my current project. Activities involve: running youth clubs and drop-in centres in three centres across London.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
Sharing insights into youth advocacy and learning from other network members.
Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
I have had knowledge of the ALF for many years and attended as an observer in Malta when Irish network members attended an event there in 2016. I am very interested in getting further involved in the network.
