Nedzad Piric holds an MBA in Digital Economy and he is currently a PhD candidate in the Digital Economy. Nedzad has 25+ years of experience in the fields of Digitalization, Digital Transformation, Smart Cities, Digital Marketing, Education, Human Resources, Business Development, Asset Management, Project Management, Project Monitoring and Evaluation, and Consulting. A World Economic Forum member, Member of the Advisory Board for Sanford Royce, Associate Director for Amnick, Digital Transformation & Smart Cities Expert, Speaker, and holding various HR, advisory, consultancy, and university teaching positions in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as abroad.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
As a researcher and policy expert in digital economy and digital transformation, I can contribute to the ALF network in Bosnia and Herzegovina by strengthening the link between research, civil society, and public institutions.
First, I can support evidence-based policy dialogue on digital inclusion, digital governance, and civic participation. Through my academic and policy work, I can translate research findings into accessible formats for civil society organisations and local authorities, ensuring that digital transformation strategies remain inclusive and socially responsive.
Second, I can contribute to capacity building by organizing workshops, roundtables, and policy dialogues focused on digital literacy, AI awareness, and digital governance for youth organisations, NGOs, and municipal stakeholders. This would align with ALF’s objectives of strengthening intercultural dialogue and civic engagement.
Third, I can facilitate cooperation between universities, CSOs, and policymakers by creating structured platforms for exchange — particularly around digital inclusion and democratic participation. Bosnia and Herzegovina faces structural digital disparities, and coordinated action between academia and civil society is essential.
Finally, I can support regional collaboration by connecting Bosnian stakeholders with broader Euro-Mediterranean discussions on digital transformation, ensuring that local experiences contribute to and benefit from shared regional knowledge.
Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
I would like to join the ALF Network because I strongly believe that digital transformation must serve social cohesion, democratic participation, and intercultural dialogue across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
In my academic and policy work, I focus on the digital divide, digital governance, and the socio-economic implications of technological change. I see firsthand how unequal access to digital infrastructure and skills can reinforce social fragmentation and limit civic participation. The mission of the Anna Lindh Foundation to bridge societies and strengthen civil society resonates directly with this work.
Joining the network would allow me to contribute my expertise while also engaging with civil society organisations, researchers, and policymakers working across the region. I am particularly interested in collaborating on initiatives that link digital inclusion with youth engagement, democratic participation, and cross-border knowledge exchange.
I view ALF not only as a funding opportunity but as a long-term platform for structured dialogue and regional cooperation. Through the network, I aim to contribute to evidence-based policy discussions while learning from diverse perspectives across the Euro-Mediterranean space.
