Main Projects / Activities

Since we are a newly established and activated organisation the activities as mentioned above we kick started the activities only last year: 1. Organisation of a 3 -day workshop for singing co-organised with the Centre of Greek Music ' Fivos Anogiannakis' and teacher Dr. Evangelia Chaldeaki. The workshop was open to all locals and non locals and for all levels of music knowledge. 2. Following, we supported the dissemination and communication of the international scientific conference of the Department of Preschool Education in Ioannina. 3. We are currently preparing our 3rd action with a Βutoh workshop co-organised with Ioanna Garagouni dancer, choreographer. A three day workshop giving insights for butoh, a performance art in constant evolution, acting as a challenge and catalyst for a deep personal inquiry. It is a reflective, deeply inclusive, transformative, assertive condition that tests the endurance of stereotypes. The workshop is addressed to actors, dancers, artists and people with or without previous experience in butoh.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

OmiYiri is located in Delphi the centre of the world in ancient times, a place of high cultural importance where people from all over the world were gathering to receive an omen fro the Oracle of Pythia at the temple of Apollon. Staying faithful to this heritage and willing to resurrect the idea of the Delphic festivals which was the essence of peace, diversity and unity applied through the arts, we are willing to connect with other ALF members and build collaborations for artistic production and scientific development. In times of turbulence connection and solidarity are essential. Our Omiyiri's members academic and non-academic expertise in fields of the arts, cultural management, sustainability and education are of high importance and significance and are ready to share their knowledge and know-how with the network nationally and internationally. We are interested in hosting events , conferences, roundtables and living labs to foster this vision of togetherness and synergies with the network.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

ALF is a well-established network that offers many opportunities to its members through funding, collaborations, meetings and life-long learning workshops. I would be highly interested for the reasons mentioned above, to be part of this family and connect with members from all over the world, find points of connection, facilitate co-productions and advocate for the importance of culture as we aim to do with OmiYiri in Delphi and beyond.
