PLANETA REMEDIADO is a non-profit civil society association established in 2026 and based in Oeiras, Portugal. The organisation works at local, national, European and international levels, promoting intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, education, culture, active citizenship and community participation.
The association brings together professionals and volunteers with international and cross-cultural experience in non-formal education, cultural initiatives, youth work, social inclusion, community engagement, arts, coaching and project development.
PLANETA REMEDIADO has a particular interest in working with migrant and newcomer communities, young people, women, families and other groups facing social or cultural barriers. Its activities are designed to create spaces where people from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds can meet, cooperate, learn from one another and participate actively in their communities.
Based in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, the organisation is developing partnerships with municipalities, schools, civil society organisations, cultural institutions and international partners, with a strong interest in Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and people-to-people exchange.
Mission and Objectives
The mission of PLANETA REMEDIADO is to foster inclusive, resilient and connected communities through intercultural dialogue, education, culture, creativity and active citizenship.
The organisation aims to create meaningful opportunities for people from different cultural, social and linguistic backgrounds to meet, learn from one another, collaborate and participate actively in society. Particular attention is given to migrants and newcomers, young people, women, families and communities facing barriers to social, cultural or civic participation.
Our main objectives are:
• To promote intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding, respect for diversity and peaceful coexistence between people from different cultural backgrounds.
• To support the social and cultural inclusion of migrants and newcomers through community-based, educational and creative initiatives.
• To develop non-formal education, lifelong learning, youth work and capacity-building activities that strengthen personal, social and civic competences.
• To use arts, culture, storytelling and creative practices as tools for dialogue, participation, community building and social inclusion.
• To encourage active citizenship, volunteering, democratic participation and cooperation between civil society organisations, public institutions, schools and local communities.
• To create opportunities for young people and adults to participate in international exchanges, mobility activities and Euro-Mediterranean cooperation.
• To strengthen cooperation between Portugal and organisations across Europe and the Mediterranean region, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, methodologies, cultural perspectives and good practices.
Through these objectives, PLANETA REMEDIADO seeks to contribute to more inclusive societies in which cultural diversity is recognised as a resource and people are empowered to participate, connect and build common solutions together.
Main Projects / Activities
As a recently established organisation, PLANETA REMEDIADO is currently developing its first portfolio of local and international initiatives while building partnerships with public institutions, schools, civil society organisations and cultural actors in Portugal and abroad.
Its main areas of activity include:
Migrant and newcomer inclusion: development of community-based initiatives in Oeiras and the Lisbon Metropolitan Area supporting the social, cultural and educational integration of migrant and newcomer families. Planned activities include non-formal Portuguese learning, orientation and referral support, school-family mediation, community events and multilingual information materials.
Intercultural dialogue and community participation: organisation and development of activities bringing together people from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds through dialogue, storytelling, creative workshops, cultural events and participatory community initiatives.
Arts and culture for social inclusion: development of artistic and cultural projects using visual arts, storytelling, theatre, creative expression and participatory methodologies to strengthen belonging, mutual understanding and community connections, particularly among migrants, women, young people and families.
Youth work and non-formal education: preparation of youth exchanges, training activities, volunteering initiatives and international mobility opportunities within programmes such as Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps. PLANETA REMEDIADO has already participated through its team in an international training activity related to youth and social rights and is developing further European cooperation initiatives.
International and Euro-Mediterranean cooperation: establishment of partnerships with civil society and cultural organisations from Portugal, Türkiye, Ukraine, Italy, Spain and other countries for joint projects, knowledge exchange, capacity building and people-to-people cooperation.
Community well-being and personal development: development of group workshops and educational activities combining creative, reflective and participatory approaches to strengthen confidence, resilience, communication and social connection.
The organisation is currently prioritising initiatives that combine intercultural dialogue, culture, education and inclusion, with particular attention to migrant communities and opportunities for cooperation between Portugal and the wider Euro-Mediterranean region.
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
PLANETA REMEDIADO can contribute to the Anna Lindh Foundation Network by bringing a strong grassroots perspective on intercultural dialogue, migrant inclusion, community participation and creative cooperation. We can contribute by:
• engaging migrant and newcomer communities in intercultural dialogue and public participation;
• creating inclusive spaces where people from different cultural, linguistic and social backgrounds can meet, exchange experiences and cooperate;
• contributing creative methodologies based on arts, storytelling, participatory learning and community-based approaches;
• sharing experience and perspectives from multilingual and multicultural communities living in Portugal;
• supporting international mobility, peer learning, capacity building and exchanges between civil society organisations;
• identifying and connecting potential partners from Portugal, Türkiye and other European and Mediterranean countries;
• participating actively in ALF meetings, networking activities, joint initiatives and collaborative projects;
• disseminating ALF opportunities and values among local communities, partner organisations and emerging civil society actors.
We are particularly interested in contributing to initiatives that transform intercultural dialogue into practical cooperation and long-term relationships between communities.
As a young and growing organisation, PLANETA REMEDIADO is also ready to bring energy, openness, new partnerships and innovative ideas to the Network, while learning from the experience and expertise of other ALF members.

We would like to join the Anna Lindh Foundation Network because our mission and priorities closely align with our commitment to intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, cultural cooperation and active citizenship.
We see the Anna Lindh Foundation as an important platform for building meaningful connections between civil society organisations across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
Membership would allow PLANETA REMEDIADO to exchange knowledge and good practices with experienced organisations, develop long-term partnerships, participate in joint initiatives and strengthen the quality and international dimension of our work.
