Rotaract club of Malmö-Lund International is dedicated to people who share a passion for both community service and friendship. Becoming a Rotaractor connects you with a diverse group of an international community who share drive to give back.
Mission and Objectives
The mission of Rotaract is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of community leaders.
All Rotaract efforts begin at the local, grassroots level, with members addressing their communities physical and social needs while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service.
Main Projects / Activities
We currently involved in two partnership projects. One is a project is with the Rotaract Club of Ghana. The main aim of the project is to provide sustainable support to the SHTS for the Deaf.
Our second project is with the Rotaract club of Ugandan, with a similar objective, they are are collaborating with us to get support for their maternity ward that lacks proper infrastructure and basic materials.
In the framework of the ALF Swedish network flagship programme "Actions for Diversity", Rotaract Club of Malmö-Lund International received funding for their activity: Film screening of “Human” by Yann Arthus-Bertrand
The film screening took place at Malmö University with participation of the ALF Swedish network advisory committee member, Farhia Nur (STPLN) who presented the work of Anna Lindh Foundation and the Swedish network. The film was followed by an open discussion with the audience about the different themes tackled by the movie.
