The Running-Fluent Initiative, or RFI, or RFI Running Fluent Initiative Ltd. (Registration: HE477134), is a Limassol-based social impact organization in Cyprus that promotes social integration, youth empowerment, intercultural dialogue, and sustainability.
Originally founded in 2021 by Barasa Daniel as a grassroots intercultural community initiative bringing together migrants and locals through co-creation and community dialogue, the organization formally registered as a private limited company with a social impact mission on 25 June 2025.
RFI operates at the intersection of community development, co-creation, sport-for-development, intercultural engagement, and environmental awareness. Through inclusive programs, the organization encourages diverse communities to actively participate in civic life while strengthening social cohesion and mutual understanding.
Today the initiative engages a multicultural community representing over 50 nationalities, positioning itself as a bridge between migrants, youth, local institutions, and civil society actors in Cyprus.
Mission and Objectives
The mission of the Running-Fluent Initiative is to empower diverse communities through inclusive and strategic programs and initiatives that promote intercultural understanding, youth participation, sustainability awareness, and active citizenship.

Main Projects / Activities
RFI implements a range of community-based & strategic initiatives focused on inclusion, dialogue, and sustainability. Through these activities, RFI promotes active participation and shared responsibility for building inclusive communities.
+Intercultural Events and Community Dialogues....
Community gatherings and dialogue workshops addressing integration, diversity, and social cohesion, often organized in collaboration with local municipalities and community institutions.
+ Youth Engagement and Capacity Building...
Workshops and programs that promote youth leadership, civic participation, and skills development for young people, migrants, and volunteers.
+ Sport-for-Development Initiatives......
Community sports activities and inclusive amateur sport initiatives that use sport as a tool for well-being, teamwork, and social integration between local and migrant communities.
+ Sustainability and Climate Action...
Local environmental initiatives, including awareness events, tree-planting campaigns, and community clean-ups, aligned with European climate action and sustainability goals.
