How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Salam Humanitarian Foundation (SHF) can contribute to the Network in Syria/Türkiye by sharing its extensive experience in child protection, disability inclusion, women’s empowerment, peacebuilding, and humanitarian relief. With over 12 years of field presence and a professional team of 58 staff, SHF brings strong operational knowledge from hard-to-reach and front-line areas.

SHF actively engages in capacity building and localization, providing training for local CSOs, community leaders, and volunteers, while promoting inclusive practices that prioritize women, persons with disabilities, and marginalized groups. Through its projects, SHF can enrich the Network with good practices, innovative models (such as vocational training for persons with Down syndrome and digital protection for women), and community-led approaches to resilience and social cohesion.

Moreover, SHF is well-placed to facilitate cross-cultural exchanges, joint advocacy, and collaborative initiatives with partners across the Mediterranean region, fostering mutual learning and amplifying the collective voice of civil society.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

Salam Humanitarian Foundation (SHF) seeks to join the Anna Lindh Foundation Network to connect with a diverse community of civil society actors committed to dialogue, social cohesion, and intercultural exchange. As a women-led foundation with long-standing experience in protection, peacebuilding, and inclusion, SHF believes that ALF provides a unique platform to amplify local voices, share innovative practices from Syria and Türkiye, and learn from peers across the Euro-Mediterranean region.

Membership in the Network will enable SHF to strengthen its capacity, contribute to cross-border collaborations, and participate in joint initiatives that promote mutual understanding, diversity, and democratic values. Through ALF, SHF aims to build strategic partnerships, enhance advocacy efforts, and ensure that the perspectives of vulnerable communities—including women, youth, refugees, and persons with disabilities—are integrated into regional and global conversations on peace, human rights, and inclusive development.
