Shoura for Building National Consensus (Shoura BNC): Is a Non-profit and Non-governmental organization /association that was established by a woman and is run mainly by women since it was started in 2019, as a consultative body to enhance the participatory approach, consultation, consensus on local priorities and emerging national issues , committed to empowering individuals and communities, with a special focus on vulnerable youth from less opportunities, to unlock their full potential and actively contribute to the three pillars of sustainable development.
In 2025 New management for the organization was established to enhance the capacity and work of the organization.
Shoura BNC seeks to be a major player in achieving a positive change in the Jordanian context and globally.
Shoura BNC depends on the participatory approach, consultation and building partnerships to define the societal priorities the affected communities. Also, seeking consensus on developmental issues is considered the work spirit of Shoura BNC.
Shoura BNC has a large number of Volunteers ( Called Shoura Shabab ): for the young people who are interested to join local and international activities, join and support the organization programs and activities , join the national activities .
Mission and Objectives
*Our Mission is : To enhance the participatory approach among the national and international stakeholders, to integrate gender as a cross cutting issue and as a comprehensive approach that intersects and overlaps with all other development issues. Furthermore, to ensure that the gender equality is effectively mainstreamed when providing our developmental services. Moreover, to localize and ensure the locality of projects, initiatives and activities according to the local Jordanian context.
*Our Vision: Towards a joint partnerships and dialogues among national and international organizations to achieve an effective implementation for the sustainable development agenda (SDGs). The SDGs goals that we are focusing on the most are: Goal (5) - gender equality. Goal (16) - peace, justice and strong institutions. Goal (17) - partnerships for the goals.
For the purpose of pushing the sustainable development and human rights agenda forward, the most important areas of work in which Shoura BNC is interested are: project management and design, consultations, research, study analysis, reporting, drafting position papers, public policies, strategies, and action plans. Conducting trainings, capacity building activities, raise awareness sessions and facilitation. Building coalitions, engaging in, advocacy activities/ campaigns and public speaking to gain the community support and mobilization for the purpose of influencing the public policies. Also, support the national efforts regarding “Monitoring and evaluation” (M&E).
Main Projects / Activities
We can summarize our focus on the following topics:
•Non-formal education
•Women empowerment.
•Social inclusion. & Mental Health through using Sports, Arts, Drawing, Outdoor Activities & other as tools for social inclusion.
•Environment protection and climate change protection.
•Water sustainable management and water resource conservation
•Mental Health and Resilience.
•Participatory pedagogy, holistic health, psychology, somatic and expressive arts , AI and IT Technology & social media, digital marketing.
•Digital skills and entrepreneurship.
•Virtual and online Trainings
•achieving the sustainable development goals and advancing the human rights agenda.
•Developing and creating tools for education and Vocational Education Training (VET)
•Outdoor activities and using Sports for all (from different Ages, Gender, background , region , health, less opportunities and NEETs people , all athletes regardless their level and results ).
•Focus on youth exchanges, training courses, study visits, seminars for youth, youth workers, trainers and coaches ( from different sports and different fields ).
•Erasmus + projects: KA1. KA220, Virtual Training , Capacity Building in the field of Youth, VET , Sports and others .
How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
We can contribute to the ALF Jordan Network on the following :
* Sporting the local activities with volunteers and participants.
* Join the national and the international activities, Trainings and culture programs.
* Supporting and joining the network with local cultural relates activities ( such as : Art, Music, concerts, festivals and others ).
* Supporting the National Network with decisions, strategic activities, national planning strategy and others ( The owner of the organization "Mr. Samer Al-Kasih " is a member of the National steering committee for 6 years so far ).
* Supporting the international strategy of the ALF Network.
* Help on organizing conferences , meetings and activities for the national network.
* helping the national network on supporting the national organizations .
* Spreading the national activities , calls and funding opportunities.
* Visibility for the national and international activities and the Dissemination.
