Mission SDF works towards empowering Palestinian Community and making it able to change to achieve better future. SDF Objectives Empowering the most vulnerable sectors in the Palestinian society in order to increase their participation level and develop their social circumstances. Expanding the NGO's abilities in the Palestinian territories in order to perform its developmental programs effectively. Contributing in enlarging media effectiveness in the developmental process, societal change, and in serving the issues of vulnerable sectors. Raising awareness level of the civil rights based on democracy, diversity, transparency and social accountability principals. Enhancing cooperation and coordination with International and Palestinian NGO's that works in developmental sector. Developing the private sector role in supporting the developmental process.Main Projects / Activities
Main Programs 2015-2017 1. Socio-economic Empowerment of persons with disabilities Program The program aims at promoting the available opportunities to persons with disabilities in order to improve their socio-economic circumstances, build their economic administrative capacities and skills to contribute in facing unemployment and poverty with focus on persons with disabilities in the Palestinian Society. In addition to providing different social support services, awareness, advocacy and supporting education quality reconsidering the transparency and opportunity equivalent principle. 2. Media of Citizen Program This Program aims at developing the media role in supporting the developmental process and expressing the social groups issues effectively in line with the enormous development in the world of media and communication as well as improving the means of dialogue, communication, and cultural exchange on both levels locally and internationally.3. Civil Empowerment Program The program aims at enhancing youth and women participation and raising awareness about their rights and letting them participate in decision making, as well as supporting the national identity, civil rights and the use of various communication tools to create positive dialogue between community members and knowledge exchange in the issues that tackle their interests, and needs.How can you contribute to the Network in your country?
In the frame work of SDF, SDF can contribute to the network in Gaza Strip by its experience, and intervention in the field of citizen media, socio-economic empowerment to youth and women especially persons with disabilities.Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
