We concentrate on women empowerment and human rights issues.
Mission and Objectives
We are South Development Association at Qena, Egypt, with our expertise and skills is a house of expertise to support and empower women and children in Upper Egypt to access and enjoy a better life without discrimination and to change the community culture positively by making non-traditional development in all areas of health , cultural, social and economic development .
Main Projects / Activities
1-Protecting children at risk project with cooperation from Caritas Egypt.
2-Developing the political participation of women at Qena district that funded by the Canadian Embassy.
3-Developing the political participation of women at Qena governorate that funded by USAID.
4- Women access to reproductive health services at Qena villages project that funded by Australian Embassy.
5-Transportation friend to environment project that funded by UNDP.
6-Women reproductive health project at Naqada district. The project is funded by Social Fund for Development (SFD)
7-Aware community in four governorates with People Assembly election project that funded by IFES (International Foundation for Electoral Systems)
8-Depending on volunteers we monitored elections. This project is a voluntary project depending on youth volunteers and monitor elections at Qena governorate.
9-Supporting women political participation at Qena project that funded by UN Women.

• GIZ Leadership Transfer Program – Cambodia, Germany, Japan
• Train women candidates for the parliament at Libya assigned by UNDP
• GIZ Power of Diversity & Conflict Resolution – Austria, Turkey, Germany
• IFES Certified Trainer in Democracy & Elections
• Speaker at Anna Lindh Foundation Conferences (Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco, France)
• Lecturer at COP27, Sharm El-Sheikh – Impact of Climate Change on Water Resources
