General Information

SprachBewegung e.V. offers culture-pedagogical projects and workshops mainly for disadvantaged children and young adults such as creative writing, theatre, film, dance and poetry slam. SprachBewegung has also experiences in international projects of cultural political youth work and networking because we want to achieve more understanding between young people from different countries.

Mission and Objectives

Our non-profit organisation consists of a three-member executive committee, which manages the association on an voluntary basis, and a total of 10 members. Our projects are led by 10 different artists. We carry out approximately 40-50 projects per year. Since 2020 the Social Department od the City of Munich finances us an office administrator with 10 hrs / week. The mayor part oft he projets is still financed by various foundations, so our projects are free of charge for children and young people.

Main Projects / Activities

In our projects, which are mainly carried out at schools, the young people invent stories and deal with their personal, social and political topics. Films are made, poetry slams are organized and plays are performed. In every project we are working with creative writing. It´s all abput the ideas of the youngsters. We want to develop creative and critical thinking in our projects. Values like the human rights and democratic processes are very important in our work.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

We would like to learn from others and share our experiences in our cultural-youth-work with everyone who is interested. In concrete we support our partner, the pedagogical institute of Munich, who is already part of the network, conceptually and practically in joint international projects.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We want to build bridges between people and we think that the Anna-Lindh-network is about building bridges. We want to get to know other organisation who are working for a better understanding between people. We want to engage ourself in the international field.
