Standing Together works around community organizing to advance its mission. We do that through our 12 local and 14 student chapters and our 5 activity centers (Purple Houses), which serve as safe spaces for Jews and Palestinians to meet, host cultural events, and engage the community in activities that are necessarily political. Our chapters are the infrastructure that maintains ongoing political activities nationwide and is a leading force for peace and social justice. With our decade-long experience on the ground, we offer capacity-building activities to organizations that want to develop their leadership skills and have more tools to organize their local community through Jewish-Palestinian partnership. After October 7th, Standing Together was a prominent voice against the war and organized several demonstrations to raise awareness among Israelis that the conflict was not in their interest. Since then, we organized a massive donation campaign for Gaza, raising supplies to fill 400 trucks of aid to the Strip from Arab-Israelis, giving them a platform to do something and get mobilized in such a polarised period. We have organized activists around a "Solidarity Guard", a protective presence network that de-escalates violence from settlers against Palestinians, in high-risk events such as the Flag March on Jerusalem Day in the Old City of Jerusalem, or on an ongoing basis in 4 villages in the West Bank to maintain the safety of 50 families throughout the year. We have an alternative media platform, Rosa Media, that produces trustworthy content from the ground through podcasts and articles in Hebrew and Arabic (and some in English). Finally, we are incubating a Jewish-Palestinian youth movement this year.
