Established in 2002, Ta’awon for Conflict Resolution is an independent, Palestinian non-profit organization dedicated to promoting peaceful methods of conflict resolution and transformation. Ta’awon works to strengthen dialogue, understanding, and cooperation among communities, youth, and local leaders across Palestine.

Vision:
A peaceful, collaborative Palestine where local communities and individuals are empowered to transform conflicts into constructive dialogue and sustainable solutions.

Mission:
Our mission is to build peace in Palestinian communities through inclusive and nonviolent conflict transformation. Guided by the principles of democracy, mutual consent, and dialogue, Ta’awon fosters trust and collaboration among government, political, religious, and civil society actors to promote sustainable peace.

Main Projects / Activities

What We Do?
1)Dialogue, Mediation, and Arbitration Programs: Facilitate dialogues and mediation to resolve local conflicts and build community trust.
2)Training and Capacity Building: Equip youth and women with skills in conflict resolution, leadership, and civic engagement.
3)Peace Education and Awareness: Promote peace and civic responsibility through educational programs and campaigns.
4)Research and Advocacy: Map and analyze local peace initiatives, providing evidence-based recommendations for better governance.
5)Psychosocial Support: Strengthen emotional resilience to help communities manage conflicts constructively.

Khobz wa Melh Project – Getting Together to Talk: Promotes dialogue and social resilience through education, training, and initiatives.
Dialogue and Mediation in Trade Unions: Builds conflict resolution mechanisms in labor unions to ensure workplace stability.
Shabab Live – Giving Youth a Voice through Media: Empowers youth to highlight community issues via a digital media platform.
Palestinian Women in Conflict Prevention and Peacebuilding: Strengthens women leaders to prevent conflicts and lead peace advocacy.
Good Governance Program: Equips youth to participate actively in democratic decision-making and governance.
Psychosocial Support for Jordan Valley Communities: Enhances community wellbeing through psychosocial support and innovative engagement tools

Impact:
Ta’awon’s work has created a measurable and sustainable impact across Palestinians by promoting conflict resolution, conflict transformation, conflict prevention, empowerment, good governance, and social accountability. Key evidence of our achievements includes:
Trained 6,000 youth and women in conflict resolution, conflict transformation, mediation, and leadership.
Facilitated 2500 community dialogue sessions, resolving conflicts and building cooperation.
Reached +50,000 students through peace education programs.
Produced tens of reports and advocacy briefs to support local peace initiatives and policies.
Provided psychosocial support, boosting resilience and constructive participation.
Partnered with +220 organizations for inclusive, sustainable community development.
Conduct +500 Advocacy campaigns.
Over 100 successfully implemented projects.
