General Information

Horus Association for Youth and Development is an association located in Qena Governorate in the Arab Republic of Egypt. It operates throughout the country and its work is based on the villages and cities of Qena Governorate. The association’s main interest is youth, development, the environment, woman and the most needy groups (disabled). The association has consultative status from the United Nations in human rights. The Board of Directors consists of seven people, the General Assembly consists of 49 members, and there are 7 employees (Executive Director, Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Accountant, Administrative Affairs, Support Services) in addition to a large number of youth volunteers. The association has worked with several partners such as Plan, ACT, ECHRD, IDSC, AIDMENA. The association conducts a large number of specialized training courses in the field of development, human rights, or information technology. It also organizes many awareness seminars, whether political or societal.

Mission and Objectives

Raising awareness of the importance of positive participation through legitimate and legislative channels in policy-making and public decisions.
Empowering the most needy groups economically, socially and health-wise.
Life awareness through the rights guaranteed by the constitution and law. Improving access to government services, whether regular or electronic.
Developing the capabilities of youth and women to qualify for work

Implementation of "Share" Project activities (Training) with IDSC.
Implementation of "Youth development " Project activities (Training) with Belady academy.
Implementation of "She" Project activities (Training) with AIDMENA.
Implementation of "Start" Project activities (Training) with shell.
Implementation of " Women's developmentx" Project activities (Training) with Elmahrousa PDS .
Implementation of “Association capacity building “ project activities (Training with Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development.
