Goals:
1- The main strategic directions in the future are to raise awareness of the community in general and that of the PWD for the non-judgmental acceptance of persons with disabilities in economic and socio-cultural life,
2- Ensuring a barrier-free life for persons with disabilities by providing tools that enable this group to have ease and independence in movement.
3- Integration into the socio-economic and cultural life of groups in need, mainly children, youth, women and the elderly at risk, through the provision of socio-cultural services and material assistance.
4- To ensure the sustainability of the organization over the years by strengthening cooperation and expanding existing networks with local government, donors, other non-governmental organizations, the community in general and the business community in particular, while at the same time increasing the range of services to this community.
Unique points of the organization
1. The organization's projects are unique as they provide services that cannot be provided by others and by focusing its work on the people most in need;
2. Strategic donor who provides not only financial support but also knowledge and skills to support these groups;
3. Skills and capacities to respond to needs in a timely manner;. Sustainable cooperation and positive experiences with local and central government and other institutions such as social care and education;
5. Has considerable experience in implementing projects in the territory of the Municipality and Shkodër District.

Mission and Objectives
The organization's mission is to work and assist people in need in the District of Shkodra and throughout the country by providing material assistance, social and cultural services, tools that aim to integrate children, youth, the elderly, women and families at risk, and people with disabilities, into the life of the community to which they belong.
Main Projects / Activities
The Door was founded by the generous help of the Norwegian people through the organization Norwegian Aid (Norsk Nodhjelp) in 1996.
The Door has been and is an open door for all people and institutions in need. In its beginnings, it has donated aid to families and various institutions in Shkoder in cooperation with other organizations from Norway.
Subsequently, the focus of the organization has expanded by creating more diversity in services for different community groups in Shkoder. We assist groups and individuals from the most needy sections of the population throughout the territory of the Regional Directorate of State Social Services Shkoder by supporting them with social services, materials and other activities that increase their social inclusion and integration into the social and economic life of the community to which they belong.
