The Nigerian Association in Malta and Gozo was formed in 2017 and has 6 members of the board of Administration. The association has approximately 1000 registered members . It has connections with other Civic organisations in Malta and Gozo. We are planning to collaborate on common projects with both local and transnational organisations in the near future.Mission and Objectives
The Mission of the Association is to ensure that Nigerians in Malta and Gozo have Space to meet and share their experiences. It is also established to support their integration into the local community. To offer members of the community opportunities for further development and exchange experiences. Its there for the furtherance of harmony and unity among the members. It also aims to fight and stand gender equality for the members, equal opportunities. job opportunities and fair human rights for all. Offer support to all Nigerian nationals living in Malta and Gozo in the following areas:Moral support, Financial support, legal support, mental and psychological support, rehabilitation and dialogue on various critical issues.Main Projects / Activities
Celebration of key Nigerian holidays Cultural activities to showcase and promote rich Nigerian heritage Promoting Nigerian performance arts and music Assisting in the integration of Nigerians with the local communities. Supporting all Nigerians needing help of any sort Interventions on diplomatic issues Offering platforms for dialogue and cultural exchange Sourcing for scholarships and funding for the development of Nigerians in Malta and Gozo Sourcing for funding to run projects to support our objectivesHow can you contribute to the Network in your country?
The Nigerian Association has many members who have various skills and qualifications. These can be useful to the development of ALF Malta.Why do you want to join the ALF Network?
We want to be part of ALF so that we can also grow through collaborations with the organisations from the 43 Countries where it is represented, We also want to share our experiences, stories and best practices of the various aspects we are good at and have developed over the years. We will also want to share our rich cultural diversity and benefit more from the big network connections. We want to access funding opportunities to help us support our growing community in Malta. We want to upskill the members through the ALF training grands and also take part in the Mobility programs.
