Introduction:
The Palestinian Society for the Protection of Land and Human is an independent, non-profit Palestinian civil organization established in 2007. It is licensed by the Ministry of Interior under the Palestinian Associations and Local Bodies Law No. (01) of 2000. The Society is headquartered in the Gaza Strip – Khan Yunis Governorate and provides its services across the Gaza Strip, with a particular focus on marginalized and remote areas. Its services encompass all segments of society, including women, children, and persons with disabilities of all age groups.
The Society aims to develop, empower, and rehabilitate a sustainable society built on the active community participation of its target groups. It is committed to achieving its vision and mission through principles and values of humanitarian response, including responsibility, transparency, tolerance, justice, equality, participation, empowerment, and inclusion.
Vision:
The Palestinian Society for the Protection of Land and Human strives to be a leading, effective, and distinguished Palestinian institution in community work, ensuring that all members, especially people with disabilities and special needs, can enjoy a dignified life, social justice, and the opportunity to invest in their potential to achieve self-realization.
Mission:
The society works to equip individuals with cognitive abilities based on the principles of justice and equality, as well as the necessary training skills to strengthen their connection to their homeland and Arab identity, while fostering openness to the external world and diverse cultures, cultivate responsibility, creativity, initiative, self-realization, and social integration.
Objectives:
•Unify efforts and contributions to advance the services provided to the Palestinian people.
•Raise awareness among members of the local community and its governmental, civil, and societal institutions.
•Achieve the principle of solidarity, inclusivity, and full integration of persons with disabilities into the local community.
•Empower women, children, youth, and persons with disabilities in all aspects of life.
•Provide comprehensive services for persons with disabilities (education, health, medical rehabilitation, psychological rehabilitation, social rehabilitation, economic empowerment, sports activities).
•Offer legal support and rights-related consultations to the local community.
•Support local councils, neighborhood committees, and various unions and syndicates.
•Coordinate and collaborate with organizations, institutions, and entities inside and outside Palestine.
•Protect Palestinian lands within the limits permitted by Palestinian law and the authority of civil associations.
•Protect all segments of the Palestinian population (women, children, adolescents, youth, the elderly, persons with disabilities, people with special needs, and orphans) and ensure they receive the rights guaranteed by local and international laws.
