General Information

Time Heritage was founded in 2003 with the aim of providing high-quality interdisciplinary services in the field of cultural Heritage protection and enhancement. Our main fields of activity are: digital enhancement of museums and sites, innovative solutions for cultural heritage, research and development and the protection of cultural heritage as a lever for local development.

Mission and Objectives

Time Heritage's mission is to bridge various fields of cultural heritage management and enhancement and to organize interdisciplinary actions in the fields of cultural heritage, cultural tourism and heritage education. After accomplishing a series of digital himanities projects as well as a series of successful seminars in the period 2003-2010, we developed in 2012-2013, a new scope aiming at the protection and enhancement of rural cultural heritage and the empowerment of rural communities; this, we pursued mainly through EU-funded projects, such as Erasmus+. Since 2022 we have also participated in teams developing new concepts for cultural heritage management and history education, such as the projects DigiSmaLL and Digistoryteller. Hence, at the moment, our main aims are the development of innovative and smart solutions for cultural heritage management and enhancement and the rural regeneration based on cultural heritage and sustainable development.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

We have been following Anna Lindh Foundation's activities closely and we notice that there is a more extrovert policy over the past few years. We believe that we can mobilize rural communities, help develop ideas and practices that bridge civic participation, cultural heritage enhancement, innovation and dialogue. Furthermore, we can approach refugee communities and engage in dialogue with them, trying to pinpoint inequality issues. Finally, as we have a good connection to Greek Universities and educational centres, we could develop initiatives regarding youth education

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We would love to help expand the network in Greece, to share knowledge and ideas with organizations all over the Mediterranean and to exchange views and good practices. Anna Lindh Foundation's missions align with our own philosophy. In spite of being an SME we function more like an NGO (in fact our team is creating an NGO at the moment focusing on rural cultural heritage). We believe that through participation at ALF Network we will have the opportunity to share more ideas and to be in touch with creative teams.
