General Information

Tripoli 365 is a local organization and discovery platform that directly responds to community needs. We operate with a core team of 3 members responsible for business development, coordination, partnerships, and digital management. The organization also works with local community partners and volunteers, on a project basis, depending on the scope of activities.

The organization operates with a modest annual budget, primarily covering operational costs, App development, content production, and small-scale community initiatives. We use personal funds to cover costs, and generate service-based income, and make use of local partnerships, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and efficient resource use.

Main partners include local businesses, cultural spaces, youth-led initiatives, municipalities, and civil society organizations in Tripoli and North Lebanon.

Mission and Objectives

Tripoli 365’s mission is to support local communities in Tripoli by increasing the visibility of local places, initiatives, and people, and by encouraging engagement with the city’s social, cultural, and economic life. The organization aims to promote inclusion, local ownership, and youth participation by creating accessible tools and initiatives that help people understand and navigate their city in a more connected and informed way.

Our objectives are:
-To promote local discovery and strengthen connections between residents, visitors, and local places.
-To support small local businesses and community initiatives by increasing their visibility and accessibility.
-To encourage youth engagement and participation in community-based activities and local initiatives.
-To contribute to a more accurate, lived representation of Tripoli that reflects everyday realities rather than stereotypes.
-To encourage collaboration between local actors, cultural spaces, and civil society organizations around shared community needs.

Main Projects / Activities

-Development and management of a digital local discovery platform and mobile application that maps cafés, restaurants, shops, souks, landmarks, and services in Tripoli, with curated content reflecting everyday city life.
-Production of short-form digital content highlighting local places, community initiatives, and cultural spaces, aiming to document lived experiences and amplify underrepresented local narratives.
-Involvement of young people as contributors and collaborators in content creation, research, and community-based activities, encouraging local ownership and civic engagement.
-Partnerships with local businesses, cultural venues, and civil society organizations to support small-scale initiatives, events, and campaigns that respond to local needs.
-Participation in local cultural events, public discussions, and city initiatives that promote dialogue, inclusion, and active engagement in Tripoli’s social and cultural life.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Tripoli 365 can contribute to the Network in Lebanon by acting as a local connector between youth-led initiatives, cultural spaces, civil society organizations, and local communities, particularly in Tripoli and North Lebanon. The platform can support the visibility and dissemination of Network initiatives, events, and opportunities at the local level.

Tripoli 365 can also contribute by engaging young people as active participants in dialogue, community projects, and storytelling activities that reflect local realities and encourage inclusive participation. By sharing local experiences, challenges, and lessons learned from Tripoli with the broader Network, the organization can help enrich national and regional exchanges.

In addition, Tripoli 365 can support collaboration between Network members by facilitating local partnerships, hosting small-scale community activities, and contributing content and insights that strengthen cross-organizational learning and cooperation within the Network in Lebanon.

Finally, Tripoli is one of the most marginalized cities of Lebanon, but also one of its most culturally rich. Encouraging locals and tourists can help improve cohesion between citizens of different cities, and uncover the diversity that Lebanon is blessed to have.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

Tripoli 365 seeks to join the ALF Network to strengthen its contribution to community-based dialogue, youth engagement, and inclusive local initiatives. The Network offers a space for exchange, learning, and collaboration with organizations that share a commitment to social cohesion and active citizenship across the Euro-Mediterranean region.

Joining the ALF Network would allow Tripoli 365 to connect local experiences from Tripoli with broader regional conversations, while benefiting from shared knowledge, capacity-building opportunities, and peer learning. The organization is particularly interested in engaging with other youth-led and community-focused initiatives to exchange practices on participation, local storytelling, and grassroots engagement.

By becoming part of the ALF Network, Tripoli 365 aims to both learn from and contribute to collective efforts that promote understanding, inclusion, and cooperation, ensuring that local voices and lived realities are represented within national and regional dialogue spaces.
