General Information

Un Monde Migrant (UMM) is a non-profit association based in France and in Geneva, Switzerland, founded with the mission of promoting social inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and awareness around migration and human rights through audiovisual creation and participatory education.

The association produces socio-cultural films, documentaries, and multimedia projects addressing themes such as migration, discrimination, identity, and coexistence. It also organizes screenings, debates, and educational workshops in schools, universities, and cultural centers to encourage dialogue and reflection on issues of diversity and social justice.

UMM aims to bridge communities by giving a voice to people often marginalized in public discourse and by fostering understanding between “migrant” and “local” populations. Its work combines art, education, and civic engagement to combat prejudice, break taboos, and highlight the human dimension of migration.

The association also collaborates with institutions, NGOs, and international networks on projects that promote peacebuilding, youth empowerment, and cultural cooperation — such as its ongoing initiative “Beyond Conflict: Voices for Peace.”

Mission and Objectives

The mission of Un Monde Migrant is to promote dialogue, inclusion, and mutual understanding between cultures through the power of audiovisual storytelling and participatory education.

Main Projects / Activities

The association develops socio-cultural audiovisual projects and organizes screenings and debates in universities and cultural centers to raise public awareness about issues related to migration, exclusion, and xenophobia.

Its main goal is to foster mutual understanding by breaking taboos and challenging prejudice. It aims to give young people a voice, particularly to promote dialogue, peace, and justice.

The project is based on participatory workshops, exhibitions, and audiovisual productions that encourage critical thinking, reject extremist discourse, and raise youth awareness about the importance of living together in peace.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Un Monde Migrant can actively contribute to the ALF Network by sharing its long-standing experience in intercultural dialogue, inclusion, and anti-discrimination through audiovisual creation and participatory education.

Through its projects — such as “Beyond Conflict: Voices for Peace”, which brings together young people from diverse backgrounds, including Israelis and Palestinians — the association fosters mutual understanding, empathy, and critical thinking around issues of migration, identity, and coexistence.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We deeply value the work carried out by the Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF) and strongly believe that joining its network would be an enriching opportunity for our organization.
Becoming a member of the ALF Network would not only strengthen our capacity to promote dialogue, inclusion, and intercultural understanding, but also allow us to learn from the experience and best practices of other members.
We see this membership as a space for mutual exchange, growth, and collaboration, where we can both contribute our expertise and continue improving through shared learning and collective action.
