The University of Nicosia (www.unic.ac.cy) is the largest private institution in Cyprus with over 5000 students. The College offers undergraduates studies in business, science, education and the liberal arts, as well as professional programs. UNic along with its lecturing activities (spanning a wide spectrum of fields) is also doing research primarily within the following fields: – Gender issues – Distance learning & ICT – IR – Cyprus, EU – Mass media/communication – Social Sciences: Immigrants, HIV/AIDS, Violence in sports, Conflict resolution, Religion, Marketing/Retailing - Sports management - Tourism and finance - Life sciences & health, Diabetes , Imaging, Medicinal herbs, Sports - Environment: sustainability - ICT
