General Information

Vento di Terra ETS (VdT) is an italian and international Non Governmental Organization, born in Italy in 2006. Originally created to support solidarity projects in Palestine, it became a development and humanitarian organization, active in 6 countries.

Mission and Objectives

VdT carries out international cooperation projects focusing its action on protecting the basic rights of marginalized people, with special attention to the rights of children, women and vulnerable population. VdT choose to operate in border territories: refugee camps, marginalized areas, conflict affected areas. VdT aim is to promote processes of development and overcoming the crisis implementing capacity building and community development programs

Main Projects / Activities

VdT is active in Italy, in the Palestinian Territories - West Bank and Gaza Strip, in Jordan, in Afghanistan, Cameroon, Albania and in other European countries. VdT bases its intervention on participatory approaches. It operates in several sectors (social inclusion, education, protection, health, socio-economic development, bio-climatic architecture and sustainable development) following a bottom-up approach. The association works in partnership with ministries, institutes, universities, private social organizations, associations and groups, Italian European and from the countries in which it operates. VdT promotes interventions in the following sectors: education; psycho-social support; health; bio-climatic architecture; development of social micro-enterprise; promotion of sustainable tourism and agriculture.
