Our general purpose is in cultural community development. Our members (10) work in educational, social sphere or in OD, experienced with the capacity of multi-skilled competencies in professional development work. Since 1997: projects of increasing size. Target training groups: pupils, teachers, young people, adults with mental handicaps & physical disabilities, social and health care workers, people in marginal social groups and of diverse ethnicity. Applied methodologies: Playback Theatre, DIE, Psychodrama, NLP. Budgetary/year: around between 7.000 and 17.000 Euro. Funding sources: EC, EU, National Funds Grundtvig Learning Partnership: Art for Multicultural Communities: to explore how arts can contribute towards intercultural dialogue. Partners: AdHoc Theatre (Vienna), True Heart Theatre (London), European University Cyprus (Limassol), Erinevate Usundite Lőimunimse Ja Tolerantsuse Allianss (Tallinn). National Civil Fund: Érzelmek, Értékek, Érdekek (Emotions, Values, Interests), Social Dialogue Theatre for people with special needs. Partners: Egyenlő Esélyekért! Foundation. The general purpose of the organization is in cultural community development: by working with individuals & groups through the promotion of social development processes. Our members are development professionals, who work with skills acquisition and mental health support of people from vulnerable social groups as well as the professionals caring for them. Our members work in educational, social or for profit sphere alongside their activities in this organization. So our organization has a special characteristic of having experienced members with the capacity of multi-skilled competencies in professional development work. Since 1997 the organization has been managing projects of increasing size. Its target training group has broadened: pupils, teachers, young people and adults with mental handicaps & physical disabilities, social and health care workers, people in marginal social groups and of diverse ethnicity. We use a number of applied methodologies: Improvisational Theatre (Playback), Drama in Education, Psychodrama, NLP.Main Projects / Activities
Grundtvig Learning Partnership 2010-2012: Art for Multicultural Communities. This partnership aims to explore how arts can contribute towards intercultural dialogue. Specifically, through music and improvisational theatre we aim to build bridges of communication between diverse communities, both in terms of ethnicity but also in terms of socioeconomic and religious background. Partners: AdHoc Theatre (Vienna), True Heart Theatre (London), European University Cyprus (Limassol), Erinevate Usundite Lőimunimse Ja Tolerantsuse Allianss (Tallinn). Vitakultúra Egyesület is the coordinator in this project.
