Wasla is trying to enlarge its international collaborations with performing arts organizations :
Enki : performing art center in Bahrain, working together on distribution for performances to the Annual festival held by Enki In Jan.
Ezzat Ezzat studio : Ezzat Ezzat Contemporary Dance Studio (EECDS) is an independent artistic organization concerned with the performing arts, particularly contemporary dance; established by Ezzat Ismail Ezzat in early 2012, EECDS aims to enrich and develop the independent contemporary dance scene in Egypt, by holding and co-producing artistic projects and events, as well as organizing workshops to support young artists.
Orient productions : one of our main Partners is orient productions, with number of projects including D-CAF, training projects.

Mission and Objectives

Wasla is a registered Egyptian company that works to develop the Arab performing arts scene in the Arab world, by supporting artistic ideas, providing special services to performing artists and their creative production. Wasla works to support performers through facilitating accessibility to artists opportunities “writing projects and translation, distribution of performances, siminars, artists meeting, platforms”. We also work on creating networking between different groups of artists in artistic projects to create different creative products. In addition, we organize artistic activities, which through the network of relationships open new opportunities for the artists in the Arab region in terms of production, performing venues and other benefits.

Main Projects / Activities

1- Fear as artistic statement : (co-funded by All Around Culture and La Rue). The project offers residencies for three artists from Bulgaria, Egypt, Jordan. It includes collaboration with two organizations: Brain Store from Bulgaria and Al Balad theater from Jordan.
2- Contemporary Dance Night " management only" :contemporary dance night in its 7th edition which was in Dec 2023, Wasla worked together with studio Ezzet on fundraising and administration, this event was includes 7 new productions had been performed between Cairo and Alexandria.

1- Promoting Dialogue through the Arts: Use your platform and influence within the Arab performing arts scene to promote dialogue between cultures. Organize performances, workshops, and events that highlight the diversity of cultures and promote understanding and tolerance.
2- Collaboration with Civil Society Organizations: Partner with civil society organizations within the Anna Lindh Foundation network that are working in fields related to arts, culture, youth, education, and other relevant areas. Collaborate on joint projects and initiatives that promote intercultural dialogue and cooperation.
3- Facilitating Accessibility to Artistic Opportunities: Utilize our expertise in supporting performing artists to facilitate accessibility to artistic opportunities within the Anna Lindh Foundation network. Provide services such as project writing, translation, and distribution of performances to help artists connect with relevant opportunities.
4-Creating Networking Opportunities: Leverage our extensive network within the Arab performing arts scene to create networking opportunities for artists within the Anna Lindh Foundation network. Organize artist meetings, platforms, and events that bring together artists from different backgrounds to collaborate on creative projects.
5-Organizing Artistic Activities: Organize artistic activities and events that align with the objectives of the Anna Lindh Foundation network, such as cultural festivals, exhibitions, and performances. These activities can serve as platforms for promoting dialogue between cultures and showcasing the rich diversity of Arab arts and culture.
