General Information

The Women's Affairs Technical Committee (WATC) is a prominent local NGO established in 1992, dedicated to advocating for women’s rights and promoting gender equality in Palestinian society. With branches in the West Bank and Gaza, WATC works across diverse sectors, including women’s empowerment, youth leadership, and capacity building, reaching marginalized communities through impactful interventions.

Mission and Objectives

WATC is a national coalition of feminist frameworks that works to democratize and advance societal values by mobilizing energies to advocate for Palestinian women's rights and monitor adherence to them, in line with national references, international conventions, and societal values.

1- Promote gender equity and social justice in Palestinian society.
2- Empower women and youth through leadership training and capacity-building programs.
3- Advocate for policies and legal frameworks supporting women’s rights.
4- Enhance community resilience through emergency response and sustainable development initiatives.

Main Projects / Activities

Women’s Empowerment:

Leadership training and vocational programs for women in the West Bank and Gaza.
Advocacy campaigns for gender equality and protection against gender-based violence.
Youth Leadership Programs:

Active citizenship and human rights training for youth.
Establishing youth centers and safe spaces for community initiatives.
Emergency Response:

Distributing food parcels, hygiene kits, and protective equipment during crises.
Providing psychosocial support, first aid training, and educational support for children in besieged areas.
Capacity Building:

Training cooperatives and women’s institutions on project management and livelihood skills.
Partnering with international organizations to develop innovative strategies for community development.
Advocacy and Legal Support:

Promoting women’s political participation and engagement in public life.
Offering legal advice and protection services to marginalized women.
