Xanthi TechLab is a multimedia lab and a meeting place for young people " Xanthi TechLab is a multimedia lab and a meeting place for young people who want to learn, experiment and apply new technologies. It was created with the collaboration of the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Xanthi, the Municipal Library of Xanthi and the Cultural Department of the American Embassy.It is a continuation of the American Corner that has been operating since 2004, with a collection of books and a space for educational and cultural programs.
Equipped with 3d printers, state-of-the-art computers, robotics kits, cameras, video cameras, Xanthi TechLab is a creative workplace for the youth of Xanthi, the wider region of Thrace and to communicate with the new technology labs in Greece, Europe and the USA.
With collaborations for programs and workshops related to innovation, Xanthi Techlab has already cooperated with the Office of Liaison Studies of the Democritus University of Thrace, the non-profit association eduACT, Europe Direct, Mindspark, Mindspace, IEEE, IAS, IAESTE, EESTEC, DRT, DIR, HELEXPO and many other institutions and organizations.
