What do we do?
We are an organization that works from youth to youth, driven by a deep belief in the capabilities of young people and their essential role in building peace and shaping society. We are committed to empowering youth, enhancing their skills, and fostering their development, as we recognize that this is key to creating stronger communities and a more peaceful future.
Our approach focuses on meeting young people’s basic needs first, including access to higher education, vocational training, and rehabilitation programs. We provide guidance and support, alongside educational and development opportunities. In addition, we offer various programs aimed at involving young people in the democratic process and peacebuilding efforts, including advocacy campaigns, awareness missions, and fostering dialogue among youth.
We are committed to ensuring that all our programs are accessible to young people, overcoming cultural, social, and security barriers—particularly for girls. Since 2016, we have relied heavily on digital solutions to reach youth across different regions, ensuring that our educational and peacebuilding initiatives can have a far-reaching and lasting impact.

Peacebuilding and Democracy
The Young Global Citizens Assembly (YGCA) prioritizes peacebuilding initiatives aimed at equipping young people with the skills they need to engage in the peace process on both social and political levels. Our activities create space and common ground for youth participation, including advocacy and awareness campaigns, consultations, discussions, vocational rehabilitation programs, guidance, training, and mentorship opportunities.
In addition, the YGCA offers psychological support programs to help beneficiaries cope with challenges they may face. These efforts are designed to foster effective and sustainable development within society by building a cadre of qualified individuals and forming impactful partnerships that implement programs based on transparency, integrity, and professionalism across social, economic, and cultural sectors.
To date, more than 25,000 participants have engaged in our peacebuilding activities, including periodic events, consultations, and advocacy efforts. These initiatives have included writing reports and recommendations, as well as facilitating the international participation of youth in various platforms dedicated to youth issues and peacebuilding.

Our Peace Building Projects

The Syrian Youth Assembly

The Syrian Youth Assembly Initiative (SYA) is a Syrian youth-led initiative dedicated to empowering Syrian youth to actively contribute to peacebuilding and fostering reconciliation within their communities and beyond. The initiative believes in the pivotal role of youth in shaping a peaceful future for Syria and strives to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and platforms necessary to address the root causes of conflict and rebuild bridges of trust among the diverse components of Syrian society.

The initiative implements training programs to enhance youth capacities in conflict resolution, non-violent communication, and mediation. It also provides safe spaces for dialogue and reconciliation across generations and communities. Additionally, the initiative launches awareness campaigns on social media to promote the values of peace and unity, highlight stories of coexistence and resilience, and encourage creative youth initiatives such as art, music, and storytelling as tools for peace advocacy.

The initiative also seeks to support youth-led projects aimed at rebuilding the social fabric and reducing tensions in conflict-affected areas, with a focus on creating a shared vision for a more harmonious future. On an international level, the initiative works to amplify the voices of Syrian youth through partnerships with global organizations, advocating for the inclusion of youth in peace processes and decision-making.

The Syrian Youth Assembly Initiative aspires to build a future grounded in justice, equality, and reconciliation, where youth play a central role in rebuilding a nation that embodies the values of peace and stability.

Dein Almanya
Dein Almanya is an initiative dedicated to fostering political participation among refugees and migrants in Germany to build a more inclusive society. By creating participatory processes, it amplifies the voices of those with migration and refugee experiences, enabling their perspectives to shape political decisions. The initiative offers workshops, dialogue platforms, and partnerships to empower communities, strengthen existing initiatives, and raise public awareness. With a Refugee Advisory Council at its core, Dein Almanya bridges the gap between refugees and political institutions, driving systemic change toward greater inclusivity and democracy. Founded in 2021 as part of the "UnMute Now" campaign, it continues to advocate for active, effective political engagement and sustainable collaboration with stakeholders across Germany.

Education
The Young Global Citizens Assembly (YGCA) focuses on providing educational opportunities for young people, refugees, and internally displaced persons through digital solutions and a virtual platform in collaboration with global partners. The organization offers a variety of educational programs, including access to higher education, vocational rehabilitation programs, guidance and training, English language courses, and mentorship opportunities.
Since 2016, the YGCA has implemented more than 15 educational projects, benefiting over 225,000 young people from various regions around the world. We have collaborated with prominent educational platforms such as Coursera, Babbel, Duolingo English Test, Alison, Amboss, Data Camp, and Facebook Blueprint. Additionally, we have provided scholarships to more than 100 students to attend University of the People.
The YGCA’s educational initiatives aim to empower youth by offering them access to opportunities that build valuable skills and open doors to job prospects, including remote online positions. We believe that by investing in the development of young people, refugees, and internally displaced persons, they can contribute significantly to the social, political, economic, and scientific progress of their communities and the world.
