YCC is a public service of the municipality of zouk mikael, its staff is made of 3 employees, a director, a librarian and a programs coordinator. the municipality is responsible for budgeting the employees income and other running costs. the director works on creating partnerships with other cultural centers, NGOs and corporate companies to cost share the rest of the center's expenses. YCC is an incubator for interaction and development that aims to: create a space for dialogue, which seeks to increase communication among all segments of the population. promote a sense of participatory democracy and citizenship through meetings and exchanges. familiarize the public with new technologies by providing access to the Internet (WIFI) and regular training sessions (browsing, software use, etc.). promote culture and art as catalysts for universal communication. provide a space for reading and support active involvement in the learning process by encouraging the formation of research groups eager for knowledge and learning.Main Projects / Activities
YCC offers a wide range of activities to the local and national community. in addition to the public library services, we provide weekly cultural activities, reading sessions, computers sessions, free access to the internet, conferences, competitions, exhibitions, language sessions, and above all we provide a platform for all young artists to express themselves and realize their ambitions.
