Med Youth In Action

MEDITERRANEAN YOUTH IN ACTION

The Mediterranean Youth in Action (MYA) programme empowers young individuals to become agents of positive change and responsible leaders by engaging them in comprehensive and hands-on set of activities. MYA equips youth with the tools they need to drive transformative change, and promote inclusive and impactful ineractions that enhance active citizenship, leadership in decision-making, and youth inclusion throughout the Euro-Mediterranean region.

To turn this vision into action, MYA focues on key youth profiles that serve as pillars in their communities and beyond. This includes young researchers who generate knowledge, young civil society leaders who drive grassroot change, and influential youth voices on social media who create impactful content. Together, they form a powerful ecosystem that connects research, grassroots work, and media influence, ensuring that youth-led transformations are based on solid understanding and have a meaningful impact.

Voicing Youth Knowledge

investing in young researchers to develop evidence-based research that address the Mediterranean's most pressing challenges. Ensuring young researchers have the tools they need to make a real impact. By building their capacities, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, we're creating a new generation of researchers who can provide practical insights to decision-makers that will help in driving positive change to our community.

Transformative Youth

Youth-led initiatives are the key to unlocking the Mediterranean's potential. MYA Empowers young leaders with grassroot initiatives to develop innovative solutions for the Mediterranean's challenges, through building their capacities and leadership skills to drive transformative sustainable change across the mediterranean.

Impactful Narrative Voices

ecognising the power of young influencers in shaping our world, We're Empowering young influencers to be the voice of their generation to creating content that matters to our Mediterranean region and developing social media outreach campaigns that can shape transformative narratives first at a local and later at Euro-Med scale. These activities focus on enhancing media narratives, expanding youth civil society outreach, and raising awareness on relevant intercultural dialogue topics.

Intercultural Stakeholders’ Dialogues

Engaging young leaders in participatory processess and policy decision-making dialogues throughout the Euro-Mediterranean region to improve their advocacy skills and nurture the sense of ownership in youth towards the policies and programmes of the European Union, the ALF, and relevant stakeholders. This participatory approach also contributes to a transformative change in the way young leaders perceive and practice leadership, encouraging them to engage in democratic life and bridge the gap between policy-making and civil society.

We believe that investing in one young researcher, leader, or influencer can set off a ripple effect of the positive change we envision across the Mediterranean. When we empower young leaders, we not only inspire them but also encourage others to step up and drive sustainable transformations in their communities.
