2nd of December 2025, Mafraq Jordan

To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and the launch of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, the Community Center, in cooperation with the Qudrat Association for Community Development, held an awareness event aimed at raising awareness and promoting a culture of rejecting all forms of violence against women and girls.

The event included an introductory dialogue session where they discussed the concept of violence, its types, and its psychological and social effects on women, families, and society. The event also included interactive activities with participants that discussed methods of protection, ways to seek help, and the role of community organizations in supporting survivors and empowering women.

The Qudrat Association for Community Development was keen to provide a safe space that enabled women to express their experiences and opinions, and to reinforce the belief that change begins with community awareness and collective action. The event concluded with messages of support and empowerment for women, reaffirming their ongoing commitment to standing with them and defending their rights. This event is part of a series of activities implemented by the association during the 16 Days of Activism campaign.
