On June 9, 2026, Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF) Executive Director Josep Ferré and ALF Türkiye Network Representative Gürkan Akçaer were featured on TRT Radio 1’s "Gecenin İçinden" program. Broadcasting live from the Heads of Network Meeting in Berlin, they discussed the future of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation.

Josep Ferré highlighted the Foundation’s expansive reach: “We are coordinating 4,700 civil society organizations, developing collective intelligence to strengthen intercultural dialogue across the region.” Regarding the European Commission’s new Pact for the Mediterranean, Ferré emphasized the human element: “Culture, heritage, and the human dimension must be at the heart of Mediterranean policies. We are working to bring the voice of civil society to the forefront of this pact.”

Gürkan Akçaer underscored the power of grassroots action: “Building on the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, we are strengthening bridges of friendship. Our goal is to create significant impact by empowering youth, supporting researchers, and increasing the capacity of civil society.”
