FLAGSHIP PROGRAMMES
At the beginning of December, the Learning Center "Bećo Bašić" in Plav was the venue for a dynamic and inspiring debate on the topic "Gender equality - for or against?".
The participants, ninth-grade students of the "Hajro Šahmanović" elementary school, exchanged opinions on the importance of gender equality in today's society.
Young people showed not only a high level of awareness, but also a willingness to think about and solve the challenges of our society. Their arguments inspired everyone present and gave hope for a future in which gender equality will be the standard, not the exception.
The debate was organized by the Plav Women's Committee Club as part of the "16 days of activism against violence against women" campaign, which is supported by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia. The event was held in cooperation with the Institute Circle, NGO IKRE Rožaje and NGO Impuls with the aim of encouraging young people to think critically, develop communication skills and raise awareness of the importance of fighting gender inequality and violence against women.
