The Italian Association for Responsible Tourism (AITR), member of the Italian ALF Network, announced its transformation into a foundation, reinforcing its long-term commitment to ethical and sustainable tourism. Through this institutional step, AITR reaffirms its mission to promote tourism models that respect local communities, cultural heritage, and the environment. The foundation supports concrete actions to reduce environmental impact, including the elimination of single-use plastics, waste reduction, and the promotion of local products and short supply chains. AITR also contributes to European initiatives such as the COSME programme, supporting sustainable tourism development at EU level.
