ALL In Plus: Promoting Greater Gender Equality In Sport

The Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies (MIGS), member of the Anna Lindh Foundation Cyprus Network, played a key role in the AllInPlus project, a joint initiative by the European Commission and the Council of Europe. This project examined progress and ongoing challenges in gender equality in European sports.

On behalf of the Council of Europe, MIGS conducted extensive research, analyzed data, and developed a comprehensive analytical report covering 21 European jurisdictions.

The report was officially launched on February 13, 2025, at a conference held under the Luxembourgish Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. Susana Elisa Pavlou, Director of MIGS, presented key findings, revealing striking disparities in women's representation in sports leadership.

In addition, MIGS prepared 21 country fact sheets detailing women's representation in sports, alongside existing policies and programs aimed at advancing gender equality and preventing gender-based violence in sport.
