On Thursday, February 6, 2005, a meeting was held at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its residence in the New Administrative Capital, in the presence of Ambassador Wael Hamed, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Affairs, ALF Board of Governors' member of Egypt and Ambassador Rasha Hamdy, Minister Plenipotentiary. The presidency and board of trustees of the Anna Lindh Egyptian network were also present as part of the periodic meetings to maximize the role of the network in the coming period and discuss topics of interest to the network’s general assembly. The discussions resulted in identifying the priorities for the coming period with support for the network from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to demonstrate Egypt’s leadership role in dialogue and societal peace.

The meeting discussed the role of the Anna Lindh Foundation for Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue, located in Alexandria - Egypt according to the Barcelona Conference since 2008. The Egyptian network works on activating the dialogue between the North and South Mediterranean countries, through involving Egyptian associations in cultural and knowledge exchange with associations from the European Union, as the Anna Lindh Foundation brings together networks of civil society institutions in 42 countries across the North and South of the Mediterranean. Noting that the European Union has chosen Alexandria as the World Capital of Culture, which requires from the Egyptian network to develop plans that show the role of Alexandria in creating culture throughout years.

عقد اليوم الخميس 6 فبراير 2025، اجتماع في وزارة الخارجية المصرية بالعاصمة الإدارية الجديدة بحضور السفير وائل حامد مساعد وزير الخارجيه للشئون الأوربية والسفيرة رشا حمدى الوزير المفوض مع رئاسة ومجلس أمناء الشبكة المصرية اناليند، في إطار اللقاءات الدوريه لتعظيم دور الشبكة في الفترة القادمة ومناقشة الموضوعات التى تهم الجمعية العموميه للشبكة وقد أثمرت المناقشات عن تحديد أولويات الفترة القادمة مع دعم للشبكة من وزارة الخارجية لاظهار دور مصر القيادى في الحوار والسلام المجتمعي.

وقد تناول الاجتماع دور مؤسسة اناليند للحوار الأورمتوسطي والتى تستضيف مصر مقرها الرئاسي بمكتبه الاسكندرية وفق مؤتمر برشلونه وذلك منذ عام ٢٠٠٨ وتعمل الشبكة المصرية على تفعيل سبل الحوار بين شمال وجنوب المتوسط من خلال إشراك الجمعيات المصرية في تبادل ثقافي وتبادل معارف مع جمعيات من الاتحاد الأوربي حيث أن مؤسسه اناليند تجمع شبكات مؤسسات المحتمع المدني في ٤٢ دوله عبر شمال وجنوب المتوسط وجديرا بالذكر أن الاتحاد الأوربي قد اختار الاسكندريه عاصمة الثقافة العالمية مما يتطلب من الشبكة المصرية وضع خطط تظهر دور الاسكندريه في صنع الثقافة على مر العصور.
