As part of African Week, Mirsal and AFAES organized a meaningful and interactive training that brought together social workers, NGO professionals, youth workers, community leaders, and grassroots actors to discuss some of the most urgent issues affecting our communities today.
The training created a space for dialogue, reflection, and learning, allowing participants to exchange experiences, explore emerging challenges, and identify practical solutions for building more inclusive and equitable services. As digital technologies continue to shape everyday life, special attention was given to ensuring that innovation benefits everyone and does not reinforce existing inequalities.
Together, we explored:
🔹 Racism, discrimination, and exclusion in everyday social work
🔹 The ethical use of artificial intelligence in community and professional settings
🔹 Bias and inequalities in digital systems and public services
🔹 Digital inclusion, accessibility, and equal access to technology
🔹 Misinformation, discrimination, and the risks associated with AI tools
🔹 Practical tools and approaches for inclusive and culturally sensitive communication
