The Swedish network member, Paideia presents the One-Year Jewish Studies Program, offering a unique blend of classical Jewish studies, contemporary perspectives, and shared learning.

The core of the program consists of courses that introduce key aspects of the Jewish textual tradition. These courses are taught by prominent international faculty, with an emphasis on the historical, cultural, and literary contexts of each layer.

The program also includes seminars that address various aspects of Jewish studies, expanding the scope of textual discussions and situating Jewish culture within both historical and contemporary challenges.

Program Features

  • TEXT
    In-depth study and hevrutah discussions of core Jewish texts, such as Hebrew bible, rabbinic literature, and Jewish philosophy.

    Thought-provoking conversations on contemporary topics from Jewish perspectives.

Admission

– BA Degree (with major in Social Sciences, Law Studies, Humanities, Theology or equivalent)
– Interest in Jewish history and culture
– Full time participation
– Good command of English, equivalent to level B2 or higher
