Artificial Intelligence, Risks and Ethics: Online Training Summary from Czechia

On May 27, 2025, the Czech Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation organized an online training focused on the ethical and societal risks associated with artificial intelligence. The training, led by Dominik Voráč from the Faculty of Education at Palacký University in Olomouc, gathered 22 participants from 14 organizations, including 12 ALF members.

The session addressed pressing concerns voiced during a previous webinar on practical AI tools and explored topics such as deep fake content, misuse of AI applications in schools, disparities in AI adoption among students and teachers, and the limitations of current detection tools, particularly in non-English contexts like Czechia.

Several AI tools were demonstrated, highlighting ethical dilemmas and gray areas. The discussion emphasized the importance of ethical guidelines, such as those developed by Palacký University or People in Need.

Participants expressed an interest in continuing the dialogue on AI’s implications for human rights, education, and democracy. The Head of Network underlined the need for further initiatives, including symposia and policy roundtables, to address these challenges in intercultural and civic education contexts.
