Between Migrant Struggles and Border Regimes: The Spatial Production of Migratory Corridors across the Americas

This talk is part of the online lecture series hosted by DEMIG (Department for Migration and Globalization) at the Danube University Krems and will be delivered by Soledad Álvarez Velasco, Assistant Professor in the Departments of Anthropology and Latin American and Latino Studies at the University of Illinois Chicago. Drawing on extensive ethnographic research, she will explore two emerging transnational corridors of South–South transit migration: one linking the Andean Region with Central America, and another connecting it to the Southern Cone.
