FLAGSHIP PROGRAMMES
On January 22, 2025, the organization Unidos Pelos Direitos Humanos – Beja, in collaboration with the Projeto Shave Escolhas - "#energiaescolhas", launched the first of three planned activities under the title "Bullying & Human Rights". The event took place at the Centro Social do Bairro da Esperança in Beja, bringing together young people, educators, and community members to address the impact of bullying and the importance of human rights in fostering safer and more inclusive environments.
The session focused on understanding bullying as a social issue, emphasizing its effects on young people and the broader community. Participants engaged in discussions and interactive activities designed to promote empathy, respect, and civic responsibility. The initiative aimed not only to raise awareness but also to provide practical strategies for preventing and addressing bullying in schools and public spaces.
This activity is part of a broader effort to encourage active participation in future events and strengthen the network of organizations committed to human rights education. By involving young people and local stakeholders, the project seeks to create a culture of inclusion and respect, empowering participants to become agents of change in their communities.
The next two sessions will continue to explore these themes, providing additional opportunities for engagement and reflection.
