Call for Applications: Submission of funding applications to the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD)

The International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD) of UNESCO has launched its 2026 call for funding applications (March 23 – May 6, 2026). Since its establishment, USD 12.6 million has been invested in 164 projects across 76 countries, with the aim of sustainably strengthening the cultural and creative sector in the Global South.

Funding is available for projects and initiatives that advance cultural policy strategies, build institutional capacities, and promote the diversity of cultural expressions. The maximum grant amount is USD 100,000.

Eligible applicants include international, governmental, and non-governmental organizations from countries in the Global South that have ratified the UNESCO Convention.
