The Centre of Christian-Muslim Understanding and Partnership (CCMUP), in partnership with the Egyptian Ministry of Education and the Egyptian Family House (Bayt Al-Aila Al-Masriya), successfully launched the first edition of its "Journeys of Peace" initiative following the completion of its partnership agreement with the Ministry and the receipt of all necessary approvals to implement the project.

The inaugural journey brought together 36 Muslim and Christian children, aged 7 to 12, from Misr International School in Heliopolis, Cairo, promoting mutual understanding, respect, and shared citizenship through firsthand learning and dialogue.

The journey included visits to Al-Thawra Mosque, to learn about Islamic worship; St. Mark's Coptic Orthodox Church, to explore Christian traditions and history; and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in Fustat, to discover Egypt's diverse civilizations and shared national heritage.

CCMUP believes that "Journeys of Peace" is a practical and innovative initiative that promotes inclusive citizenship, encourages respect for diversity, and strengthens trust and understanding among young Egyptians.
