PARLIAMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF NORTH MACEDONIA

The Fifth National Debate Survey, organized by the European Policy Institute (EPI) in cooperation with the Center for Deliberative Democracy at Stanford University in the USA, brought together over 140 citizens who, over the course of two days, were informed and debated about the role of the Parliament in the EU accession process, and asked their questions to panels composed of social actors and experts right in the Parliament. A debate poll is a unique form of political consultation that combines the techniques of public opinion polling and public debate. It aims to present what public opinion on a particular topic would look like if citizens had the opportunity to learn more about the topic. A debate poll shows the preferences and opinions of citizens both before and after detailed familiarization with the topic.
